The more familiar we become with ourselves through meditation, the more we trust our limitless capacity for love and compassion – for ourselves, for others and for the wondrous unfolding of life. The more we let love in, the more our fearful self-centeredness dissolves into equanimity and joy. We tap into the boundlessness of our being at the deepest level. This releases our hearts into openness, gentleness, bringing self-confidence and a deeper sense of our interconnectedness. In this day of retreat we will commingle meditations based upon the Four Boundless Attitudes
Daylong Retreats provide a wonderful opportunity to delve more fully into meditation practice integrating understanding with direct experience. The day is structured with periods of meditation, instruction and sharing with the group. There is a one hour break for lunch, and tea and snacks are provided throughout the day. Seating is in chairs or on cushions on the floor.
This retreat is open to Committed Meditators who have some experience with traditional practices of Loving Kindness and Compassion.
What to bring? Water bottle, favorite cushion, and optional bag lunch.
You guys are serious and laid back at the same time which I really like. I feel that you have acquired real wisdom and experience in the areas that you teach, but I love how you really do “meet people where they are”.Past Course Participant
Walking the path under the guidance of Scott and Nancy has transformed my life. I now live it from a place of love, joy, compassion, and peace. When inevitable turmoil happens, it’s transient and I can move through it. I’m no longer whip-sawed around. Each day feels enveloped in gratitude and I feel held by a loving presence.N.
