A Morning of Guided Mindfulness Meditation
SUNDAY JUNE 6 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
In this mindfulness mini-retreat, the focus is on relating skillfully with our mind in ways that increase clarity, settling, and a sense of inner freedom. The morning will include brief teachings, a variety of guided meditations, and the opportunity for questions and sharing at the end.
Mindfulness is a way to wake up from thinking so we’re no longer bossed around by our mental habits. In this retreat, you’ll learn to
- Recognize thinking as it occurs,
- Get out of your head and into your body and the 5 senses,
- Be more fully present in the here and now,
- And inhabit your life with greater relaxation and awareness.
Who Should Attend? This mini-retreat is for any mindfulness meditator who wants to develop greater skill in their mindfulness practice. It is also intended as a companion to the 8 Week Course ‘Taming the Mind with Mindfulness: Working with Thoughts, Emotions and Mental Patterns.’
