The Bodhisattva is someone who dedicates themselves to awakening for the benefit of all beings everywhere. Seeing and sensing the interconnectedness of all life within the universal field of unconditional, loving, awake awareness naturally inspires their activity for the benefit of others.
While every living being is a unique expression of the universal field of pure consciousness, we are simultaneously bound by the chains of individual karma and conditioning which bring dissatisfaction, suffering, and inner conflict. And we all long for a freedom and lasting happiness that we sense is possible. Sometimes we even wish that everyone else might experience this too – so that the whole world could be positively changed. That sentiment is the seed of enlightened activity.
Once we have a stable experience of our own awakened nature – unconditional loving awareness – we have the inner resources and capacity to engage in the life of an authentic Bodhisattva dedicated to compassionate awakened activity.
In this Retreat we will explore the Bodhisattva practices of the Transcendent Actions, Exchanging Oneself for Others, and Mind Training Contemplations from the “top-down” perspective of non-dual, loving awareness.
Who should attend this retreat? This retreat is for meditators experienced with awake awareness and the non-dual approach.
While I have read and received direct path teachings before, the addition – or the clear pointing out of the heart element – deepened and made more vivid my experience. Incredible.Brandon, 5-Day Retreat Participant
Sharing the retreat with a group in this setting was so important and uplifting. Result – stronger understanding of awake awareness. Highly recommended. The best teachers with years of experience who actually care about your experience.Diane, 5-Day Retreat Participant
Thank you for such spacious, pointed teaching! The material, pacing and presentation (!!) continue to be first rate. The personal examples you give are always warmly humorous and helpful. Your passion for this practice mirrors your concern and care for us, your students and fellow practitioners. I watch my practice deepen and realization clarify while sensing the same maturation in my fellow class mates.Barry, Meditation Teacher and Awakening Course Participant
